Itinerary Detail
Land in Guwahati and transfer to the hotel. After fresh up, visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill. Take a relaxing sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Morning check out from your hotel. Later drive from Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park. Check into your jungle resort and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay near the park.
Wake up early for an elephant safari in the central or western range. After breakfast, visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park. Take an afternoon jeep safari to spot one-horned rhinoceroses, wild water buffaloes, and elephants.
Morning check out from your hotel. Later drive to Nimati Ghat and take a public or chartered ferry (about 1.15 hours) across the Brahmaputra to Majuli, the world's largest river island. Explore traditional Satras (Neo-Vaishnavite cultural centers) and local tribal villages. Overnight stay on Majuli Island.
Take the ferry back to the mainland and head to Jorhat. Experience Assam's famous tea culture with a heritage colonial tea bungalow stay and tea tasting. Visit local cultural spots or head towards Sivasagar to see Ahom-era monuments like Rang Ghar.
Morning check out from your hotel. Later drive or take a short flight back to Guwahati. Shop for authentic Pat and Muga silk at Sualkuchi or local markets before your departure.
